Data architecture position will be primarily responsible for design and development of all databases related changes in credit analytics area. Responsibility includes understanding the complex data structures in analytics space as well as interfacing application systems. Design/Update Warehouse Information Model. Provides support such as troubleshooting to application performance issues. Provide on-call support including database change verification. In addition, the position has secondary solution architecture responsibilities that include supporting Product teams in development of technical design and documentation. Defining solutions that align company’s patterns and standards.
Develop and maintain conceptual, logical & physical data models. Create Database Change Requests and Data Definition Language (DDL) to implement and maintain database structures, taking into consideration global strategy and data requirements. Support multiple DBMS’s including Teradata, DB2, Bigquery, Cloud SQL. Perform impact analysis on data structure changes. Define and enforce database standards including SPII & data compliance. Process Ad Hoc SQL requests. Formalize data propagation requests to populate and maintain test environments. Review SQL for potential performance improvements. Work closely with Database Administrators (DBAs) in defining physical database objects. Maintain the integrity of the database by identifying and resolving conflicts concerning the data. Develop new data structures in online transaction (OLTP) and data warehouse (OLAP) databases. Work with application teams to define, create and modify data models at the speed of product team needs. Guide Product teams to prepare for Subject Area Design. Participate in product team ceremonies – Stand-ups, Release & Iteration Planning. Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a product team.
Design/Update Warehouse Information Model. Provide Database Structure Creation Roadmap. Provide Alignment between Data Strategy & Data Governance teams. Drive information integration, information standards, and information management while exploiting the wealth of metadata captured in Ford Credit’s enterprise catalog. 5+ years’ experience in Data and Information architecture mainly with analytic databases (Teradata). 5+ years with designing RDBMS databases & data structures, writing, analyzing & tuning SQL. Expertise in ERWIN or any other Data Modeling Tool. Ability to drive information integration, information standards, and information management while exploiting the wealth of metadata captured. Experience with large scale solutioning and operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes and analytics platforms on Cloud (GCP preferred). Ability to work collaboratively with Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to work in fast paced and dynamic environment. Attention to details and passion/pride in producing Quality deliverables. Experience working in following technologies: Teradata, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Data stage, Informatica tools (EDC, Axon, IDQ, MDM, power center), Cloud (GCP) – Big Query, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, PubSub, Data Fusion, Dataflow, Dataproc, Airflow, Compute Engine, Cloud functions and App engine. Java, Python etc. Familiarity with Hadoop and mainframe platforms.
Familiarity with master data management concepts. Familiarity with data quality and data cleansing concepts. Familiarity with data catalog concepts such as data lineage, data profiling and relationships. Architecting and implementing next generation data and analytics platforms on GCP cloud while maintain traditional warehouse environments. Experience in building solution architecture, provision infrastructure, secure and reliable data-centric services. Experience in working with Agile and Lean methodologies.
