Job Description

The FAV Features & Apps Validation engineer is responsible for managing an agile fleet to validate software features integration and vehicle level functional & performance systems end-to-end. • Design verification and Sign-off of vehicle application specific Software, Systems, and features as per cycle plan. • Enable a best in-class pre-production vehicle level test procedures to deliver flawless and bug free software features and systems to our internal and external customers. • Work closely with Software Engineers, Architects and Feature System Engineers to develop robust and customer centric test methods. • Drive Software testing integrity and requirement & test results traceability. • Drive fleet vehicle safety procedures and Intellectual property protection for physical prototypes and features. • Drive DV Efficiency efforts to identify opportunities to move testing from the Road to the Lab to Virtual. Drive and continue to modernize and disrupt traditional fleet validation testing processes, tools, and methods.
Skills Required:
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint (SharePoint preferred).
Skills Preferred:
• Proficient in Jira for issue management.
Experience Required:
Experience in automotive software development or validations. • Experience in software development life cycle CMMI and agile process experience. • Experience utilizing software testing or quality assurance methodologies. • Experience in ADAS/DAT feature testing support.
Experience Preferred:
• Experience in development and execution of functional test procedures within a software or vehicle testing organization. • Experience in bench testing of distributed electrical systems (Electrical System Engineering) including bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation, incident reporting and root cause analysis. • Experience in electrical schematics for vehicle components and systems and electrical architectures of distributed systems. • Experience in Diagnostics Engineering tools and software downloads. • Experience in implementing software configuration management. • Experience in Experience in embedded controller networks(CAN, LIN) and the use of ECU diagnostic and network communication tools to verify and troubleshoot distributed vehicle systems (CANoe, CANalyzer).
Education Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
Education Preferred:
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
