• Improve Focus weld quality by either guiding / leading fellow employees, or personally implementing solutions. • Give concise and informative presentations to any and all levels of Company management. • Maintain a solution oriented customer focus while demanding results from themselves and the team. • Strong back ground in resistance, arc, projection nut, and stud welding, trouble shooting, and maintenance. • Experience with pneumatic weld guns, servo weld guns, WTC weld timers, Hi-Tech and Stillwater tip dress motors and cutters, Kawasaki robots, Fanuc robots. • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems. • Detail oriented work habits to constantly check and update welding documentation. • Confidence to make timely decisions in the midst of production-critical situations. • Able to interact and guide UAW skilled trades to diagnose and improve the shop’s welding capability. • Supervise a team of Weld Inspectors to ensure routine inspections are accomplished. • Have a consensus building personality in order to implement improvements as a team. • Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks without micro-management.
2-5 years in Automotive Manufacturing with experience as a weld tech or welding Engineer
Min: High School Diploma Associates degree in Welding tech or Bachelors in Welding Engineering is a plus
