The VA awarded this BPA to offer its customers, on a national basis, a vehicle that will expedite the referral and selection of qualified Clinical Executives, Physicians and Non-Physician clinical providers to fill current and future vacancies. The purpose of this BPA is to aid in the recruitment of historically “hard to fill” positions throughout the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Sygnetics was one of two contractors awarded this national contract.

The yearly estimated quantities for the required job categories are as follows:
1. Physicians: National Recruitment for 100 positions
2. Clinical Pharmacists: National Recruitment for 40 positions
3. Nurse/Nurse Practitioners: National Recruitment for 80 positions
4: Other Clinical Support: National Recruitment for 140 positions
5: Clinical Executives: National Recruitment for 25 positions

VA Office Human Resources Management

In support of it’s mission, the VA OHRM initiated the HR Professional Services Initiative, a multi-year transformative effort, executed under the Human Capital Investment Plan (HCIP) to streamline the procurement of HR services throughout the OHRM. Sygnetics was contracted to provide clerical and administrative support to OHRM developmental functions. Sygnetics staffed 23 FTEs located in Washington, DC to support the various HR and recruitment task orders, including one where the team recruited, pre-screened, and recommended 411 qualified candidates to fill 42 vacancies.

Sygnetics provided key strategic HR support services to include the following disciplines: HR information systems, performance management, personnel processing, recruitment and staffing, staffing policy, strategic human capital, and workforce planning. Sygnetics also provided key program administration strategic support services that included administrative management, communications management, program analysis, program management, and project management.


Sygnetics supported the VA alongside the DELL Corporation on a 4 year, 600,000 Image and Installation desktop contract, which included all 1,200 VA Medical Centers in all 50 States including VI and PR. This opportunity was a set-aside contract for SDVOSBs and Sygnetics represented one of four SDVOSBs awarded this contract. Sygnetics was selected as the primary recruiting personnel supplier and provided 42% of all personnel over the duration of the contract. Over the life of the contract, Sygnetics alone recruited and fully vetted to NACI level a total of 504 personnel in 38 states to support this effort. The contract’s duration varied based on facility size, number of installation technicians requested, and total number of devices to be installed. The duration of assignments ranged from two weeks to over one year, with the average duration of assignments at approximately 30-45 days.


The purpose of the United States Army’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC), program is to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. Sygnetics provided administrative, operational, logistical, and transportation support to execute two levels of web-based competition and one three day national level Leadership Symposium. We provided guest and keynote speakers; publicized the event; located host facilities and venues for meals, receptions, competitions, and registration; and coordinated lodging, transportation and travel.
